About Kevin Schroeder

Hey, this is Kevin! I’ve grown so bummed out about the advent of AI and subscription based services that take away from the community that graphic design brings forth, so I wanted to dig into the most tangible projects possible. This year, I explored booklet design, outdated displays, and animation that emulates older mediums to bring a texture to my work that I’ve craved ever since I started at RRC! This shows up in some of my favourite projects that I’ve done this year, such as Foxtrot Fancy Inc, my fictional band catalogue, and the font I designed, Burn-In! I’ve learnt so much this year. My typography has improved, my project management is far cleaner, and I’ve become comfortable 3 entirely new pieces of software!

But after everything, I’m really going to miss playing Jackbox on the projector on Fridays with my class. Please leave a message at the beep!

Burn-In Font

Project Overview

Burn-In is a body font designed for display on old CRT monitors. It was designed with the limitations of the screen in mind, working with the light distortion so the details wouldn’t get lost in the fuzz.
